Andrés Alejandro Plazas Malagón is a Data Management Software Scientist for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. The Rubin Observatory will generate up to 20 terabytes of data a night. It is Andrés’s job to write software to characterize and eliminate the imprints of the instruments and detectors on that data. In this Facebook Live / Zoom Webinar event, we will learn about his job, and a little about his life outside astronomy.
